Regarding the rehabilitation from offenses: In both the petition and the karmavācanā, one must first recite the concealment, next recite the six nights, and then state, 'I request rehabilitation from the Saṅgha'—only then is it the proper present procedure. Furthermore, within the concealment, one first recites what was committed; from 'or' onward, one next recites the days of concealment. From 'already' onward, the third is reciting the words of the petition; from 'the Saṅgha has already' onward, the fourth is reciting having obtained the procedure; from 'I, designated so-and-so' onward, one recites the days already observed. Within the six nights there are three parts: first reciting the petition, second having obtained the procedure, and third having already observed it. One must divide them by carefully comparing them with the karmavācanā and not read them carelessly. (The same applies to reciting the concealment first within the six-night procedure.)
