2.2134

總別中，初明別捨別還，罪得合懺。若下，次簡捨衣有染不染。三十戒中，唯五長有相染義，謂衣中有三，十日、月望、急施，及長鉢長藥為五。此明唯畜長，制須盡捨；離衣販乞等，隨別捨之，不盡相染。

Under general and individual: First, explaining individual relinquishment and individual return, the offenses may be confessed together. From 'If' onward, next distinguishing whether relinquished robes are contaminated or not contaminated. Among the thirty precepts, only the five extra items possess the meaning of mutual contamination, namely three within robes—ten days, the full moon, and urgent gifts—along with extra bowls and extra medicines, making five. This explains that only for keeping extra items does the rule require relinquishing all of them; for staying apart from robes, trading, begging, and the like, one relinquishes them individually according to the case, and they do not mutually contaminate everything.
