In "Instructing Others", first it clarifies monks and nuns. Both offenses of sthūlātyaya and duṣkṛta are concluded for the one who instructs; the one instructed can be known. Generally discussing the four pārājikas, the one who instructs is not the same: in lust, pleasure resides in the other person; in lying, fame and gain accrue to them; both violations are light. The two precepts of killing and stealing harm both oneself and others, so both the instructor and the instructed are grave. Next it shows the three assemblies: their offense is of only one grade; the above clarifies the instructor. From "For the perpetrator..." onward, it discerns the instructed. In the interlinear note, it universally indicates the marks of violation of the lower assemblies, not discussing instructing one another.
