In the third: it is like in the secular world taking servants and livestock along to another monastery and using the permanent property. The text has two judgments. First, it clarifies that privately owning them incurs a grave offense. From "Because..." downward, it shows the intention of the offense. From "The Saṃgha's..." downward, it next distinguishes that for those belonging to the Saṃgha, a light offense is established. Both sides mutually supply them, but it is because one did not announce it. Furthermore, what is undertaken must likewise be Saṃgha business; although they are called Saṃgha servants, private affairs also incur a grave offense. Nowadays, practitioners of Chan and doctrinal lectures do not avoid this at all, which is truly lamentable.
