誡誥中。上座知事，審究施主。此土道俗，不知像理受用不同；所施通汎，言無指的；止是住持，絕聞理寶矣。

In the admonition: the sthaviras and administrators should investigate the donor carefully. In this land, monastics and laypeople do not know the difference in the use and enjoyment of the Image and the Principle; what they donate is general and vague, and their words have no specific target; it is merely for the Maintenance Phase, and they have never heard of the Principle Jewel.
