非人物中，初文，先定犯。《五分》下，引二律以證。他護他心，並顯護主。《僧祇》文漫，但約結重，可驗有主。

Regarding non-human objects, the first text: first it determines the offense. 'The Mahīśāsaka-vinaya,' and so forth, cites two Vinayas to prove it. 'Protected by another' and 'another's mind' both reveal the guardian owner. The Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya text is broad, but merely by concluding as a grave [offense], it can be verified that there is an owner.
