三中。錯互。此戒不開。疏云：由詐顯道德，謀誑在人；表聖招利，境損義一；但使言竟，錯誤皆犯。若就所稱之法，誤錯則開。如下欲說此而錯說彼，是也。

In the third: mistakes and mix-ups. For this precept there is no exception. The Commentary says: 'Because one deceptively displays virtue and schemes to deceive others; manifesting sageliness to attract profit, the harm to the object is identical in principle; as long as the speech is completed, errors and mix-ups all constitute offenses.' If regarding the dharma proclaimed one makes a mistake, an exception is granted. As below, wanting to speak of this but mistakenly speaking of that, this is it.
