Regarding encountering conditions, it first cites the text of the treatise. There are two conditions: urination and the like are pressing conditions of one's own, whereas undertaking an action is an extrinsic condition. Regarding "turning the cart boundary," an ancient record cites their commentary: "A bhikṣu went outside the boundary, and when returning to the monastery a few paces away, dawn broke. He reported this to the Buddha; the Buddha ordered that between the place where dawn broke, a cart be set up, and a staff be used to measure the high point of the saṅghārāma; one end of this staff was placed into the cart, and one end placed outside the cart, and this cart was turned; if the end of the staff reached the wall of the saṅghārāma and also turned to reach the place where the sign of dawn appeared, he did not forfeit the robe," which is an exceptional condition for separation from robes. Because it possesses multiple marks, it says "explained in detail." Next, it cites the commentary's explanation, first explaining one's own conditions. "Sickness and fears" explains the word "and so forth" above. "Also..." below explains other undertakings, first recounting the exception. Afterwards, "the traveler..." repeats and explains. "Permitting these difficulties" explains "acting out of compassion." "Acting" refers to establishing this exceptional teaching.
