不犯中。戒制造作，已成不犯。然須斬壞，不壞還墮。指如疏者，彼云已成斧斬，此言切人也，如何可通。如《五分》云：施已成，亦犯墮等。

Under non-offenses: The precept prohibits manufacture; what is already made is not an offense. However, it must be chopped and ruined; if not ruined, it still falls into an offense. Pointing out "as in the Commentary": it says there that what is already made is chopped with an axe; here it says cutting people, how can this be harmonized? As the *Mahīśāsaka-vinaya* says: "If given already made, it also incurs a pāyattika," and so forth.
