不犯八緣。五綴漏者，此開吉罪。自有買者，注戒作若自有價買畜者，文相方顯，謂不從他乞也。

There are eight conditions for non-offense. 'Mended in five places yet leaking': this exempts from the duṣkṛta offense. 'Buying with one's own means': the annotated precept text reads 'if buying and keeping with one's own price', which makes the phrasing clearer, meaning that one does not beg from another.
