次意中，初義判。僧下，引示，《僧祇》。具云阿若多，此翻解本際，又云知無，知空無故。憍陳如，此云火器，其先事火故。《十誦》，初引緣起。跋難陀，此云歡喜。剎利種，即諸釋種王子。次引佛判，初明不屬王親。僧下，次明唯屬於僧。

In the second intention, it first judges according to principle. "Saṃgha below" cites and demonstrates from the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya. The full name is Ājñāta, translated here as "understanding the original limit," or "knowing non-existence," because he knew emptiness and non-existence. Kauṇḍinya is translated here as "fire vessel," because his ancestors served fire. In the Daśādhyāya-vinaya, it first cites the origin story. Upananda is translated here as "Joy." The kṣatriya clan refers to the princes of the Śākya clan. Next, it cites the Buddha's adjudication, first clarifying that it does not belong to royal relatives. "Saṃgha below" next clarifies that it belongs solely to the Saṃgha.
