相參中，唯大衣可說，餘非所論。初引論示數。餘下，引律顯制。以新衣止得二重，今多一重，故有犯長也。

Regarding mutual combination, this can only be said of the great robe; the others are not under discussion. First, the treatise is cited to show the number. From 'The remainder' onward, the Vinaya is cited to manifest the regulation. Because a new robe can only have two layers, adding an extra layer now incurs the offense of keeping extra cloth.
