八中，初引緣。聚落下，應加犯吉字助釋方顯。鉤欄即條葉。當字去呼。十下，例開貧乏，上句躡上開文。下二句準例。貧無餘服，糞掃五納安揲分相，入聚無過。

In the eighth [section], it first cites the causal origin. After "settlement," one should add the characters "commits a duṣkṛta" to assist the explanation, and only then will it be clear. Goulan (鉤欄) refers to the strips and leaves. The character dang (當) is pronounced in the departing tone. "Ten... below" analogously grants an exception for the impoverished; the upper phrase tracks back to the exception text above. The lower two phrases follow by analogy. If one is poor and lacks any other robe, adding patches to five rag-strips to demarcate their divisions entails no fault when entering a settlement.
