五中，初引《母論》。歷事生念，以明受用非耽世樂。次引傳者，未詳何文，或可平呼作相傳釋之。三匙及菜，即發三聚四弘，但二四開合異耳。指如下者，即〈赴請〉中。

In the fifth, first it cites the Matṛkā. Generating mindfulness through passing through events clarifies that receiving and using them is not indulging in worldly pleasures. Next, citing "the tradition": it is not clear what text this is, or it can be pronounced in the level tone and interpreted as an oral transmission. The three spoons and the vegetables give rise to the three clusters [of precepts] and the four universal vows; it is merely that the division and combination of two and four differ. Pointing to "as below" refers to the chapter on "Attending Invitations."
