Under "Secondary Robes": reciting the name of the lower robe is because the name is general and distinguished according to its use. Reciting the number of strips of the upper robe is because its substance is fixed and must be named in accordance with reality. (Those who say it is received as a five-strip robe are mistaken.) The note says "up to seven strips"; it should say: "I receive this antarvāsa as a seven-strip robe, maintaining it as a cut-and-pieced robe of two long and one short [strips]."
