次科，初引緣起。一令生疑，二令起謗。檀越，亦云檀那，並訛略也；義淨三藏云：具云陀那鉢底，此翻施主。佛下，次引佛制。注文指上，即若為利故施等偈。說時餘聽去者，有緣須往，無緣應住。

In the next section, first the origin is cited. First, it causes doubt to arise; second, it causes slander to arise. Dānapati is also transcribed as dānapati or dāna; both are erroneous abbreviations. Tripiṭaka Master Yijing said: in full it is dānapati, translated here as donor. From "the Buddha" downwards, next it cites the Buddha's prohibition. The commentary note points above, namely to the verses such as "If giving for the sake of benefit," etc. "When it is spoken, others are allowed to leave": those with reasons must go; those without reasons should stay.
