第四門。前諸雜事，並是隨人各行，故名別人自行；此門所明誦持經戒，無論利鈍新舊之殊，但預道門，義當依奉，故云共行同法。

The fourth gate: The preceding various miscellaneous matters are all practices carried out individually by persons, hence they are called individual distinct practices. What this gate explains—reciting and upholding sūtras and precepts—applies without distinction of sharp or dull faculties, newly ordained or senior; as long as one has entered the gate of the Way, one is duty-bound to rely upon and uphold them; hence it is called "practicing shared and identical dharmas together."
