3.954

六中，初科，初敘難行；今下，示頊行；經下，總標。無始未曾者，顯聖行難成也。著世慣習者，示難成所以也。經中，通指三藏。

In the sixth [heading], in the first section, first, it recounts the difficulty of the practice; from “Now…” onward, it indicates the practice that should be followed; from “In the sūtras…” onward, it provides a general indication. “Never having practiced from beginningless time” reveals that holy practice is difficult to accomplish. “Attached to worldly habits” shows the reason why it is difficult to accomplish. “In the sūtras” refers generally to the Tripiṭaka.
