佛在舍衛國。迦留比丘，以佛前制，便在門外伺諸婦女，將至房中，手捉捫摸，樂者便笑；有不樂，瞋恚罵辱。諸比丘舉過白佛，便集僧制戒。

The Buddha was in the country of Śrāvastī. The bhikṣu Kālu[dayin], because the Buddha had formulated the preceding rule, then waited outside the gate for women, led them into his room, and grasped and stroked them with his hands; those who enjoyed it laughed, while those who did not enjoy it became angry and verbally abused him. The bhikṣus raised the fault and addressed the Buddha, who then assembled the saṃgha and formulated the precept.
