諸比丘諫言：「大德！莫作是語『有愛，有怖，有恚，有癡；有如是同罪比丘，有驅者，有不驅者』。而諸比丘不愛，不恚，不怖，不癡。大德污他家，行惡行；污他家亦見亦聞，行惡行亦見亦聞。」是比丘如是諫時，堅持不捨，彼比丘應三諫，捨此事故。乃至三諫，捨者，善；不捨者，僧伽婆尸沙。

The bhikṣus admonish [him], saying: 'Venerable, do not speak thus: "There is partiality, there is fear, there is anger, there is delusion; when there are bhikṣus guilty of identical offenses, some are expelled and some are not expelled." For the bhikṣus are not partial, not angry, not fearful, and not deluded. Venerable, you corrupt other families and engage in bad conduct; your corruption of other families has been both seen and heard, and your bad conduct has been both seen and heard.' If, when the bhikṣu is thus admonished, he persists obstinately without desisting, those bhikṣus ought to admonish him up to three times so that he might abandon this matter. If, up to three admonitions, he abandons it, that is well; if he does not abandon it, it is a saṃghāvaśeṣa.
