衣有十種。尼著弊衣，具白世尊，佛言：「不應如是。聽畜五衣完堅者，餘衣隨意淨施，若與人。何以故？婦人著上衣服，猶尚不好，何況弊故也。」

(There are ten kinds of robes. The bhikṣuṇī wore ragged robes and reported it fully to the Bhagavat. The Buddha said: "It should not be thus. I permit keeping five robes that are whole and sturdy; other robes may be given by vikalpana or given to others as one pleases. Why is that? For a woman, wearing even fine clothing is still not handsome, how much less worn-out rags!")
