佛在舍衛。六群真施親厚比丘衣已，後不語主，取著。比丘以過白佛，因訶制戒。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. The group of six genuinely gave robes to closely befriended bhikṣus, but later, without informing the owners, took them and wore them. The bhikṣus reported the fault to the Buddha, who thereupon rebuked [them] and laid down the precept.
