佛在舍衛。六群，鬪諍如法滅已，後更發起。比丘舉過白佛，故制此戒。
The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. The group of six re-agitated quarrels and disputes after they had been settled according to the Dharma. Bhikṣus raised the fault and reported it to the Buddha, and therefore he laid down this precept.
