佛在舍衛。居士設供，手自斟酌，六群不次取食。居士譏言：「不厭足，譬如猪、狗、牛、驢、駱駝、烏鳥。」比丘舉過，佛因訶制。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder prepared an offering of food, personally serving it. The group of six took food out of order. The householder criticized them, saying: "Without satisfaction, like pigs, dogs, oxen, donkeys, camels, and crows." The bhikṣus brought up the fault, and the Buddha consequently rebuked them and formulated [the precept].
