佛在舍衛。居士設供，六群自為索食，如飢餓時。居士譏言：「何有正法！受取無厭。」比丘舉過，佛因訶制。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder prepared an offering of food. The group of six requested food for themselves as if starving. The householder criticized them, saying: "What True Dharma is this! Taking without satisfaction." The bhikṣus brought up the fault, and the Buddha consequently rebuked them and formulated [the precept].
