佛在舍衛。居士設食，六群受已，左右顧視，不覺比座取鉢藏之。比丘白佛，因訶制戒。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder prepared food. After the group of six received it, they glanced left and right, and were unaware when the neighboring seat took their bowls and hid them. The bhikṣus reported it to the Buddha, who consequently rebuked them and formulated the precept.
