佛在舍衛。居士設食，六群含飯語。居士譏，以猪、狗、駱駝、烏鳥為譬。比丘舉過，佛因訶制。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder provided a meal, and the group of six spoke with food in their mouths. The householder criticized them, comparing them to pigs, dogs, camels, and crows. The bhikṣus reported the fault, and the Buddha thereupon rebuked them and instituted the rule.
