佛在舍衛。居士設供，六群吐舌舐食。居士嫌言：「無慚愧！如猪、狗、駱駝、牛、驢、烏鳥。」比丘舉過，佛因訶制戒。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder provided an offering, and the group of six stuck out their tongues and licked their food. The householder reproached them, saying: "Shameless! Like pigs, dogs, camels, cattle, donkeys, and crows." The bhikṣus reported the fault, and the Buddha thereupon rebuked them and instituted the rule.
