佛在舍衛。居士設供，六群以不淨膩手捉器。居士嫌言：「無法！如王、大臣。」比丘舉過，佛因訶制戒。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. A householder provided an offering, and the group of six grabbed drinking vessels with impure, greasy hands. The householder reproached them, saying: "No proper conduct! Just like kings and great ministers." The bhikṣus reported the fault, and the Buddha thereupon rebuked them and instituted the rule.
