佛在舍衛。六群起過，居士見嫌，言：「此沙門，無有正法！立大小便，如牛、馬、猪、羊、駱駝。」比丘舉過，佛因訶制戒。

The Buddha was in Śrāvastī. The group of six committed a fault, and laypeople saw it with displeasure, saying: "These śramaṇas have no proper Dharma! They void feces and urine standing up, like cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, and camels." Bhikṣus reported the fault, and the Buddha thereupon rebuked them and formulated the precept.
