Nuns commit the same offence as monks. As for cases where there is no offence: when not angry, one says, 'I regret it; I am not giving it to you, return my robe to me,' and the other knows his mind has regretted it and may immediately return the robe; or if another person says, 'This bhikṣu wishes to retract it,' and returns his robe. If one borrows another's robe and wears it improperly, snatching it back is not an offence. Fearing loss or fearing damage, or if that person violates the precepts, violates correct views, or violates deportment, or if he has been censured, expelled by suspension, or ought to be expelled, or if for this matter there is a danger to life or a danger to the holy life—in all cases where one snatches it back without concealing and keeping it, there is no offence.
