(If at the time of reciting the precepts, questions and answers are finished on the seat, and if appointed by the Saṃgha, or following the bhikṣuṇīs' request, that bhikṣu arrives at the appointed time, and the bhikṣuṇīs also welcome him at the appointed time; if they fail to do so, both commit a duṣkṛta. If hearing that he is coming, they should go out half a yojana to welcome him and provide what is needed; if not, it is a duṣkṛta. If the Saṃgha has not appointed him, and on a non-instruction day he explains the eight non-transgressible dharmas to them, it is a duṣkṛta; if he is not appointed and preaches the Dharma to them, it is a prāyaścittika. If the Saṃgha is sick, not in concord, or incomplete, they should send someone to pay homage and inquire after them; if the community of bhikṣuṇīs is sick, etc., they should also send someone to pay homage and inquire—if not, it is a duṣkṛta. For the two groups of bhikṣuṇīs, etc., it is a duṣkṛta. Regarding non-offense: if the community of bhikṣuṇīs has made preparations as above, but because water or land routes are cut off or due to various perils they cannot pay homage and inquire, all are permitted.)
