問：僧殘一品何有輕重？答：雖是品同，不妨輕重。如犯罪者三時俱重，豈同二時輕一時重者也。

Question: In the single class of saṃghāvaśeṣa, how can there be lightness and gravity? Answer: Even though the class is the same, this does not prevent there being lightness and gravity. Just as for one who commits an offence where all three times are grave, how could it be the same as one where two times are light and one time is grave?
