（界別有三：攝僧界，攝人以同處，令無別眾罪；攝衣界，攝衣以屬人，令無離宿罪；攝食界，攝食以障僧，令無宿煮罪。宗意如此。）

(There are three distinct boundaries: the boundary enclosing the saṃgha, which gathers persons in the same place so that there is no offense of a divided assembly; the boundary enclosing robes, which binds robes to the person so that there is no offense of separation overnight; the boundary enclosing food, which segregates food from the saṃgha so that there is no offense of keeping food overnight or cooking indoors. Such is the purpose of the doctrine.)
