（時四方僧集會疲極，佛言：「聽隨所住處結界，應盡集，不得受欲。是中舊住比丘，應唱大界四方相，若有山、樹、林、池、城、塹、村、舍，隨有稱之。」應須義設，方法如前。僧法中具七緣已，一比丘告僧云：）

(At that time, the saṃgha of the four directions became exhausted from assembling, and the Buddha said: "I allow [you] to bind a boundary according to the place where [you] dwell. All should assemble, and no proxy consent may be received. A senior resident bhikṣu among them should proclaim the markers of the four directions of the mahāsīmā; whether there are mountains, trees, groves, ponds, citadels, moats, villages, or houses, proclaim them according to what is present." One should establish it appropriately according to its significance, following the method as before. After the seven conditions are fulfilled in the saṃgha procedure, one bhikṣu informs the saṃgha, saying:)
