（時有吐下病比丘，未及得粥便死。佛言：「聽在僧伽藍內邊房靜處結淨厨，應唱房，若溫室、若經行堂處、若出家五眾房，得作。除去比丘。」《五分》云：「若於一房一角、半房半角，或中庭、或通結僧坊內作淨地，並得。」《律》令唱相。今結法時，僧在院外遙唱遙結，應唱相言：）

(At that time, there was a monk suffering from vomiting and diarrhea who died before he could receive gruel. The Buddha said, "I allow binding a pure kitchen in a quiet marginal room within the saṃghārāma. One should designate a room; it may be done in a warm room, a walking-meditation hall, or the rooms of the five monastic classes of disciples, excluding the monks' [regular living quarters]." The Mahīśāsaka-vinaya states, "Whether in a single room, a single corner, half a room, half a corner, the central courtyard, or comprehensively bound throughout the saṃghārāma to make a pure ground, all are permissible." The Vinaya prescribes announcing the landmarks. When performing the binding procedure now, the saṃgha stands outside the courtyard and announces and binds from afar. One should announce the landmarks, saying:)
