「大德僧聽！我某甲，從和上某甲，求受具足戒。我某甲，今從眾僧乞受具足戒，某甲為和上。願僧慈愍故，拔濟我。」（三乞已。）

"Bhadantas, may the saṃgha listen! I, N.N., seek to receive the upasampadā from the upādhyāya N.N. I, N.N., now request the upasampadā from the assembly of the saṃgha, with N.N. as upādhyāya. May the saṃgha, out of compassion, deliver me." (He having requested three times.)
