「大德僧聽！此某甲，從和尚尼某甲，求受大戒。此某甲，今從僧乞受大戒，和尚尼某甲。某甲所說清淨，無諸難事，年歲已滿、衣鉢具足、已學戒清淨。僧今為某甲授大戒，和尚尼某甲。誰諸長老忍『僧與某甲授大戒、和尚尼某甲』者默然，誰不忍者說。是初羯磨。」（三說如上。）

"Let the saṃgha, bhadantas, listen! This N.N. seeks to receive the upasampadā from the upādhyāyikā N.N. This N.N. now requests to receive the upasampadā from the saṃgha, with the upādhyāyikā N.N. What N.N. has declared is pure; she is without obstructive difficulties, her years are full, her robes and bowl are complete, and having trained in the precepts, she is pure. The saṃgha now confers the upasampadā upon N.N., with the upādhyāyikā N.N. Whosoever of the āyuṣmats consents to 'the saṃgha conferring the upasampadā upon N.N., with the upādhyāyikā N.N.', let them remain silent; whoever does not consent, let them speak. This is the first karman." (Proclaimed three times as above.)
