「不得故斷眾生命，乃至蟻子。若比丘尼故自手斷人命，若持刀與人，教死，讚死，若與非藥，若復墮人胎、[示*厭]禱呪咀殺，若自作、若教人作，彼非比丘尼，非釋種女。汝是中盡形壽不得犯，能持不？」

"You must not intentionally deprive living beings of life, even down to an ant. If a bhikṣuṇī intentionally deprives a human being of life with her own hand, or hands a knife to someone, inciting death or praising death, or provides improper medicine, or aborts a human fetus, or kills by sorcery and curses, whether doing it herself or having someone else do it, she is no longer a bhikṣuṇī, no longer a daughter of the Śākyan clan. In this regard, you must not violate this for the rest of your life. Are you able to maintain it?"
