「不得隨舉比丘，乃至守園人及沙彌。若比丘尼知比丘為僧所舉，如法如律，如佛所教，不隨順，不懺悔，僧未與作共住而隨順是比丘，諸比丘尼諫是比丘尼言：『汝妹知不？今僧舉此比丘，如法如律，如佛所教，不隨順，不懺悔，僧未與作共住，汝莫隨順。』是比丘尼諫是比丘尼時，堅持不捨。是比丘尼當三諫，捨此事故。乃至三諫，捨者善；不捨者，彼非比丘尼，非釋種女，由隨舉故。汝是中盡形壽不得犯，能持不？」

"You must not follow a suspended monk, even down to an orchard keeper or a śrāmaṇera. If a bhikṣuṇī knows that a monk has been suspended by the saṃgha in accordance with the Dharma, in accordance with the vinaya, and as instructed by the Buddha, and that he does not comply, does not repent, and the saṃgha has not yet granted him communal living, yet she sides with this monk; and the bhikṣuṇīs admonish this bhikṣuṇī, saying: 'Sister, do you not know? Now the saṃgha has suspended this monk in accordance with the Dharma, in accordance with the vinaya, and as instructed by the Buddha, because he does not comply and does not repent; the saṃgha has not yet granted him communal living, so do not side with him'—and when the bhikṣuṇīs admonish this bhikṣuṇī, she persistently refuses to abandon it; this bhikṣuṇī should be admonished three times so that she will abandon this matter. If she abandons it after up to three admonitions, that is good; if she does not abandon it, she is no longer a bhikṣuṇī, no longer a daughter of the Śākyan clan, on account of following a suspended monk. In this regard, you must not violate this for the rest of your life. Are you able to maintain it?"
