（若作但對首法，如持衣、說淨等法，通二界，人唯是別。若作眾法對首法，如捨墮、說戒等。二界盡集，人非別眾，法則兩異。並前須明識，義無雜亂。）

(If performing a simple face-to-face procedure (sammukhībhūta), such as keeping robes or making pure (kappiya), it applies to both boundaries, and the persons are strictly separate. If performing a saṃgha-procedure face to face, such as relinquishment of forfeiture or upoṣadha, both boundaries assemble completely; the persons do not form a split assembly, while the procedures are distinct in both cases. These must first be clearly understood, so that their meanings are not mixed up.)
