（已下依文廣說。若難卒至，應隨到處云：「已說至某處，餘者僧常聞。」若難緣逼近，不得說〈序〉者，《僧祇》云：）

(Below this, one recites extensively according to the text. If danger arrives suddenly, one should say wherever one has reached: 'We have recited up to [such-and-such] a point; the remainder is regularly heard by the saṃgha.' If the dangerous obstacle is pressing close and one cannot recite the preface, the *Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya* says:)
