（佛言：「若有八難及餘緣，如說戒中事者，略說自恣。」但對首有二略，單白已有三略，如《鈔》所明。若難事可得廣說，便廣說，若再說，若一說。若不者，應如法治。）

(The Buddha said: "If there are the eight perils and other circumstances, as in the case of upoṣadha, pravāraṇā is to be performed in an abbreviated form." However, face-to-face [pravāraṇā] has two forms of abbreviation, and [pravāraṇā by] simple jñapti already has three forms of abbreviation, as explained in the Xingshichao. If the perils permit a full recitation, one performs it fully, or recites it twice, or recites it once. If not, one should deal with it according to the Dharma.)
