（《律》無正斷，若取分別：共財，則除隨身之物已外，中分入僧；同活，則任在者籌量出處多少，但取實情，生死同志，則無負犯。若涉私懷，具招兩過。）

(The Vinaya has no explicit ruling. If we make a distinction: with common property, except for personal items carried on one's body, it is divided equally and goes to the saṃgha; with shared livelihood, it is left to the survivors to deliberate on the sources and amounts, relying solely on genuine facts; if the living and deceased shared the same intent, there is no violation. If private motives intrude, both faults are fully incurred.)
