（《僧祇》言：「若病者死，不可信，應持戶鉤付僧知事人，然後供養舍利。」《毘尼母》云：「先將亡者去藏殯已送喪，僧還來至寺，取亡人物著僧前，然後依法集僧分之。」）

(The Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya states: "If the sick person dies and cannot be trusted, one should take the door latch and hand it over to the saṃgha's administrative officer, and only then make offerings to the relics." The Vinayamātṛkā states: "First take the deceased away, entomb and bury him, and escort the funeral; when the saṃgha returns to the monastery, they bring the deceased's goods before the saṃgha, and then assemble the saṃgha according to the Dharma to distribute them.")
