（時比丘尼露胸膊行，為世人譏慢，故白佛，佛言：「當畜僧祇支、覆肩衣。」今准《僧祇》，加云：）

(At that time, bhikṣuṇīs walked about with bare chests and shoulders, and were ridiculed and slighted by worldly people. Therefore they informed the Buddha, and the Buddha said: "You should keep a saṃkakṣikā and a shoulder-covering robe." Now, following the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya, add the formula, saying:)
