（悔通僧、別，故前列三十；唯據對首，後列九十。由貪慢財事、輕重二心，故分二位，懺、捨兩據。）

(Repentance applies both to the saṃgha and to individuals; therefore thirty [offenses] are listed first; relying solely on face-to-face repentance, ninety are listed later. Arising from greed and arrogance regarding property and matters, with thoughts of lightness or heaviness, they are divided into two categories, based respectively on repentance and relinquishment.)
