（要須五人以上為受懺者，僧中捨墮有於三種：初明捨財，謂離罪緣；中明捨心，謂離罪因；後明捨罪，除生死業。此之三捨，懺法宗途，義類通贍。）

(It is strictly necessary to have five persons or more to serve as the receivers of the repentance. In relinquishing and forfeiting amidst the saṃgha, there are three aspects: first, explaining the relinquishment of property, which means departing from the conditions of the offense; second, explaining the relinquishment of the mental attachment, which means departing from the cause of the offense; third, explaining the relinquishment of the offense, which eliminates the karma of birth and death. These three relinquishments are the cardinal route of the repentance method, whose doctrinal principles are comprehensively sufficient.)
