（若知數者，隨多少言之。若衣財眾多，乃云「不憶數」也。唯除三衣一種，以必有數。若衣財多處，並隨處捨已，然後懺罪，由通染犯故也。乃至罪名多少，並具明牒。准《律》如此，不可癡作。）

(If one knows the number, state it according to how many there are. If robes and property are numerous, then say "do not remember the number." The only exception is the class of the three robes, as they necessarily have a set number. If robes and property are in many places, after relinquishing them in their respective places, one then repents the offense, because defiled offenses are incurred throughout. Furthermore, the names and quantities of offenses should all be clearly and fully documented. Such is in accordance with the Vinaya; it must not be done foolishly.)
