「長老！汝曾經二三說戒中坐，何況多？汝今無利，不善得。何以故？汝說戒時，不用心念，不一心攝耳聽法故。」
"Āyuṣmat! You have sat in two or three upoṣadhas, not to mention many! Now you have no benefit and have gained no good. Why is that? Because during the upoṣadha you did not apply mindful attention, and did not focus your mind to incline your ear and listen to the Dharma."
